Introduction:
Equip for Equality Nepal (EEN) is a disability-led non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization headquartered in Kathmandu, Nepal.
By implementing innovative programs, EEN is building bridges to create a new era where persons with disabilities will take their rightful place in the Nepalese community.
The certificate of organization registration has been issued to EEN by the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Home Affairs, District Administration Office (Registration Number: 688), Kathmandu. Also, the certificate of affiliation has been issued to EEN by Social Welfare Council (Affiliation Number: 50549).
EEN encourages new ways of thinking, inspiration, and education to advance the citizenship, inclusion, human rights, and well-being of people with intellectual and other disabilities.
EEN has knowledge and extensive experience working on the rights of persons with intellectual disabilities and their families both at the local and international level. EEN has been actively involved in the legislative review process in the country and was a key player in developing of the CRPD alternative report including participating in the CRPD country review.
Accomplishments:
Equip for Equality Nepal (EEN) has been advancing disability rights nationally in Nepal and internationally. By advocating inclusion, voting, and rights for persons with disabilities, such as by bringing lawsuits, EEN is working to empower Nepal’s over 650,000 persons with disabilities, and especially the rights of refugee women with intellectual disabilities.
Equip for Equality Nepal (EEN) has an outstanding leader or management team with qualities such as vision, execution ability, passion, ethical approach, expertise, external relationships, and a credible track record in the area of refugee and disability rights.

Goal:
Mainstreaming Justice:Redress for Persons with Disabilities and Establishing National Human Rights Indicators in Nepal.
Objectives:
- drafting enforceable legislation on the rights of persons with disabilities to independent living to promote, protect and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights by people with all types of disabilities and to promote respect for their inherent dignity;
- exploring inclusive education and identifying the factors that prevent girls with disabilities from participating and learning in schools on an equal basis with their non-disabled peers;
- reforming existing legislation to challenge plenary and partial guardianship laws which disproportionately affect people perceived to have intellectual disabilities;
- developing laws prohibiting involuntary sterilization as involuntary sterilization of women with disabilities is contrary to international human rights standards.
